About Kohler

Kohler Walk-In Bath is the in-home bath program of Kohler Co., the plumbing products maker based in Kohler, Wisconsin. The company says it has made plumbing products since 1873. The program centers on the KOHLER Walk-In Bath, a step-in tub built to fit the space of a standard bathtub, and on KOHLER LuxStone showers, a shower wall system without grout lines sold under its own program.

The walk-in bath has a low step-in, a wide door, grab bars and a built-in seat. Depending on the model, it can include hydrotherapy and air jets, a heated backrest, a handshower and a fast-drain feature. A bath and shower combination is also offered. LuxStone showers pair solid wall panels with options such as glass doors, storage, grab bars and shower heads, and can replace an old tub or shower.

Sales and installation run through KOHLER Authorized Dealers, which Kohler says are trained and certified to install and service its products. The process starts with an in-home appointment where the dealer checks the bathroom layout, plumbing and electrical lines. On install day, the crew removes and disposes of the old tub and fits the new bath using the existing connections. Kohler says many installs take as little as one day.

The program is offered only in the United States and in select metro areas, and some states have only partial coverage. Listed markets include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Seattle and other cities.
