About Long Home Products

Long Home Products, which now brands itself as Long Home, is a family-owned home improvement company based in Savage, Maryland. It traces its roots to 1945, when Henry Long opened Long's Fence Co. in Washington, D.C. The business later became Long Fence, then Long Fence and Home, and today operates as Long Home under fourth-generation family leadership.

The company focuses on three kinds of exterior and bath projects. Roofing covers shingle, metal, designer shingle and flat roofs. Bath work covers tub replacement, shower replacement, tub-to-shower conversions and accessible bathrooms for people who want safer entry. Siding options include vinyl lap and clapboard, board and batten, polymer shake and shingle, composite siding and manufactured stone veneer.

To start a project, a homeowner picks the project type and books a consultation. A Long Home representative then visits, inspects the home, answers questions and recommends options before giving an estimate. The company describes its installation work as manufacturer-certified.

Long Home runs offices in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Northern Virginia and two in Florida. Its site lists service in Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine and Florida.
